We're here to help.
Short, honest answers to the questions most clinics ask before signing up. If you don't see your question here, email us at support@tendlytics.app — a real person responds, usually within one business day.
How long does it take to set up?
A small clinic (10-20 assets, 5-10 SOPs) is fully running in under an hour. Steps:
-
Sign up (2 minutes).
-
Pick templates from our template starter library — pre-built vet SOPs you can clone in five clicks (10 minutes).
-
Add your equipment, either one at a time or via CSV upload (15-30 minutes depending on count).
-
Print QR labels and stick them on equipment (15 minutes for 20 assets).
-
Show one tech how to scan and log a task (5 minutes).
That's it. You're tracking maintenance in under an hour.
No. If they can use a phone camera, they can use Tendlytics. The whole interaction is: open the camera, point at a QR sticker, tap "log maintenance," type a note, done. No app to download, no account to create, no training session.
Owners and managers get more powerful screens (templates, dashboard, reports) but those are designed for someone comfortable with a web browser — about the same skill level as Google Docs.
Getting started
Do I need IT support to set this up?
No. Tendlytics is a web app — open it in any browser. No software to install, no network configuration, no integrations to set up on day one. If your clinic can use Gmail, your clinic can use Tendlytics.
Can I import my existing asset list?
Yes. Upload a CSV with your equipment names, categories, locations, and serial numbers. We have a downloadable template that matches the format. 30 assets imports in under five seconds.
If you're coming from another tool with an exported list, paste it into our template format and you're done.
Can I import my paper SOPs/Templates?
We don't have a "scan-your-paper-SOP-and-convert-it" feature. But our starter library covers most of what a vet clinic actually does — autoclave maintenance, fridge temp logs, controlled drug audits, sterilization protocols, etc. You'll likely find 80% of your SOPs already exist as templates we can clone.
For the 20% that are unique to your clinic, you'll type them into our template editor. Most clinics finish this in an evening with a coffee.
Why Tendlytics?
How can Tendlytics help my team effectively manage assets?
Every piece of equipment in your clinic — autoclave, ultrasound, fridge, IV pump, anesthesia machine — gets a QR sticker tied to its full maintenance history. Any tech with a phone can scan it, see what's been done, see what's due, and log new work in two taps. Owners and managers see the full picture across every asset in one dashboard. No more "I think Jen serviced the autoclave last month" — there's a timestamped record.
The practical result: when an accreditation inspector, a board auditor, or a manufacturer warranty claim asks "when was this last serviced?" — you have the answer in 5 seconds, with a name, a date, and a photo if needed.
Why is Tendlytics more user-friendly than calendar reminders and paper SOPs?
Calendar reminders nag one person. Paper SOPs sit in a binder. Neither one tells you whether the work was done, who did it, or what they found when they did it.
Tendlytics turns each recurring procedure into a checklist that any tech can complete in two taps from their phone. The system captures who, when, and any notes or photos — automatically. Late tasks surface for the owner without anyone having to chase them down. And when a tech notices a problem mid-procedure (frayed cord, drifting calibration, broken latch), they flag it in the same flow so it doesn't get lost.
Honest assessment: if your clinic is two people and one fridge, paper is fine. If you have a real team with real equipment and real compliance requirements, paper costs you hours every month — and your insurance carrier won't accept "we did it, we just didn't write it down" if something goes wrong.
Recurring work doesn't get forgotten. Daily fridge temp logs, weekly autoclave maintenance, monthly emergency cart checks, quarterly calibrations, annual controlled-drug audits — Tendlytics tracks the cadence for each and shows your team exactly what's due today, what's late, and what's coming tomorrow. Tasks roll forward automatically when completed.
The business benefit is twofold: equipment lasts longer because preventive maintenance actually happens on schedule, and compliance audits stop being a fire drill because the documentation is already there.
How does Tendlytics task scheduling benefit my business?
What kinds of clinics is Tendlytics built for?
Today: small-to-medium veterinary clinics — general practice, mixed animal, specialty. Especially clinics pursuing or maintaining accreditation, where documentation is non-negotiable.
The product is built vertical-agnostic and we're expanding into dental practices, medical clinics, and fabrication / manufacturing operations next. If you're in one of those industries and curious whether it fits, email us — we'll tell you straight whether it's ready for your workflow yet.
